The cricket section was formed in 1951. Due to factory participation rules all players were originally factory employees. The team initially arranged friendly games, Twenty-nine in their first season. Until a local league was formed many years later. The main highlights of the season were the Inter Factory games against other factories.
We have developed and grown over the years and now as an independent club we are able to offer cricket across the whole community and beyond.
We have a much bigger club nowadays catering for four adult teams, two Saturday, One Sunday (friendlies) and midweek team and more recently a Ladies team.
We have an expanding junior Section that caters for all ages, boys and girls form age 6 upwards.
